Reminder:
NO DOGS AT ANY TIME

Most of our games are played on schools. Our permits with the district
specifically prohibit bringing dogs onto school property, and bringing dogs onto
school property during your child's game jeopardizes our permit in a city where
fields are extremely limited.

The Region 28 VIP Soccer program is run by the
American Youth Soccer Organization and is designed for children with
developmental or physical disabilities who want to play soccer. VIP Soccer teams
include children who are visually impaired, deaf, mentally challenged, autistic,
or who have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other conditions that impair
mobility, strength, and/or comprehension.
See
VIP Page>>.
Platinum Regions represent the best of the best that AYSO has to
offer. These Regions model AYSO’s philosophies and commitment to
providing the best family friendly youth soccer experiences for all players and
parent volunteers throughout their immediate communities and beyond.

Welcome to another great season of soccer at AYSO Region 28!
At this time, most of our dedicated coaching volunteers have made their calls
and your children have their practices scheduled. Please remember to keep a
positive and encouraging attitude toward all children and volunteers. The level
of skill may vary greatly, but with practice and dedication everyone is bound to
make strides towards becoming a much better soccer player. Remember
that although your player may already have excellent skills, conditioning is
important so that everyone has endurance on game day. Also, coaches volunteer
a great deal of hours preparing and training and out of courtesy our children
should be present at practices and games. If your child can’t make practice or
a game, give your coach a call. Also remember to thank all volunteers for their
time, and if you haven’t volunteered in the past, perhaps you might consider it
this season. The volunteer work of many enriches all of our children’s lives!
Recycle Bins:
Please use the recycle bins around our soccer fields
and do your part by placing cans
and recyclable bottles in these bins. Thanks

Coaches:
Always check your file in the coaches' box every Saturday for valuable
information. The coaches' box is located next to the snack bar.

Our Region Teams Operate Under The AYSO Philosophy |
|
Everyone Plays:
Our program's goal is for kids to play soccer-so we mandate that every
player on every team must play at least half of every game.
Balanced Teams:
Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible-because it is
fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
Open Registration:
Our program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who
want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only
criteria for playing.
Positive Coaching:
Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the
players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated
players.
Good Sportsmanship:
We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect
rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to
instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
Player Development:
We believe that all players should be able
to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their
abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to
maximize their enjoyment of the game.
